Hi.

Welcome to the dose of inspiration and encouragement for Canadian Home Schoolers.

S5E4 Brocksden Field Trip with Scott Campbell

S5E4 Brocksden Field Trip with Scott Campbell

In this interview episode, learn how a family began their homeschooling journey as a continuation of the educating they had already been doing in the first three years of their son’s life. Then, hear the story of how Scott and his wife got involved with the Brocksden Country School Museum near Stratford, Ontario.

The school is an 1853 Canadian schoolhouse that has been carefully preserved. There are programs for students of all ages, which makes it a great activity for a homeschool field trip-especially when learning about the pioneers.

In our next episode, we’ll continue our conversation with Scott about the history of education in Canada-especially how the one-room neighbourhood schoolhouse was set up, and his thoughts about higher education.
